Theatre Cryptic (Scotland) and the T’ang Quartet (Singapore) present Optical Identity, commissioned by and premièred at Singapore Arts Festival 2007. The performances combine established and commissioned repertoire with film by Reelloco and interactive technologies and visuals by Swiss digital artist, Jasch, creating a sensory world of escape.

These performances include Kevin Volans’ White Man Sleeps, Franghiz Ali-Zadeh’s Mugam Sayagi for quartet and percussion, Rolf Wallin’s Phonotope Ι for quartet with live electronics, and a commission, Manual Override, from Joby Talbot, known for his work with The Divine Comedy, Jack Black and the White Stripes, and more recently for the film soundtracks for The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and League of Gentlemen Apocalypse.
